Callie's last soccer game was on Saturday morning. She had her best season yet. Her coach was fantastic and they finally played on a large field. She scored quite a few goals this year and learned a lot.

These next 4 pictures show what it is like to play defense on her team.

These 3 pictures are a play-by-play of Callie's last goal of the season.

The church holloween party was Friday night. The kids had a blast. Callie is Peter Pan and Luke is Captain Hook (or Captain Hookus). Vivian has wings to be Tinkerbell on Holloween night.

Vivian loves to eat peanut butter!!!
Callie ran in a 1 mile race last week. The race was for all of the elementary school kids in West Hartford. We have 7 elementary schools in town so it was a lot kids. Callie came in 88th place. These are some pictures from the event.

Luke toured a local grocery store with his playgroup this week. He especially liked eating pizza and watching the baker decorate a cake.

Fall 2008

These pictures speak for themselves. Unfortunately, they also think it is an appropriate pose to use in public.

Today we hiked to Hublein tower just outside of West Hartford. It was a long climb, but the views were beautiful.

Vivian is getting older, but is just as cute.

As you can tell, Luke put on his own band aid today.

This is Rachael Ray doing a cooking demonstration in NYC last weekend. We stayed at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square for the weekend. Jason worked really hard to get tickets for Callie and him to see Rachael Ray (at one time ending up with as many as 5 tickets from ebay and they weren't cheap). Fortunately everything worked out, the extra tickets were sold and Callie and Jason were able to see Rachel cook, ask her questions, and taste her food (at least smell it anyway). Callie described the experience as "awesome". Unfortunately they forgot to take the camera.

We also spent some time at central park zoo, road the train to and from the city, road the Ferris wheel at Toys R Us, and ate a lot of good food. We love NYC.

It is apple season and that means apple picking with friends. Luke spent the day putting the moves on all the cute girls.

Callie may have spent a little too much time listening to rap music lately. I guess we need to change the playlist on her ipod.

We went to the Park Road parade in town a few weeks ago. There were some really creepy acts, including this guy.

We went to the Berlin Fair on a cool rainy day. The kids loved seeing the cows. It was, however a somewhat disgusting experience with the birth of a new calf and constant pregnancy tests of the other cows.

The first day of school was exciting. Callie started 3rd grade and Luke started his first year of preschool.

This is Luke's first day of preschool. (Notice the Boise State shirt.) His best friend is named Callie. He calls her "my best Callie" or "My little sister Callie".
We had a big block party in front of our house. A fire truck even came a parked right outside our house.

Callie took Vivian to the pet parade at school. Vivian won the award for the overall cutest pet.
