FINAL UPDATE - DISNEYWORLD, ETC.

Lake Ontario last weekend. Luke loves Spiderman.
Luke just finished a 1 mile race, can you tell he is excited for his medal? By the way, Callie finished the 5k with the rest of the family on the same day. The local newspaper did a little story about it. She finshed the 3.1 miles in under 30 minutes.

"THE BUZZYEAR RIDE". We rode this ride at least 100 times. Ruth got the highest score possible (we are sure she cheated).

We got to ride with the driver on the monorail. It looked like a pretty easy job, Jas is sure he could have done it better than the slow driver.

We had a special storytime with Snow White (Jason calls it a "date"). She came in and read to everyone then stuck around to meet the kids.

Luke got to ride a pony.

Our favorite part of Disney was the food. As you can tell by Luke's expression, we ate A LOT!

We clearly didn't learn our lesson about over eating the first time.

Callie celebrated her 9th birthday with a cake from Mickey Mouse delivered to our room.

MORE CATCHING UP

ROCHESTER/PALMYRA

Last weekend we took a trip to Rochester. We time our yearly trip to coincide with the Hill Cumorah Pagaent. In addition to seeing the pageant, we spent time at the Strong Museum, the Rochester Science Musuem, the beach, the Public Market, and the Zoo. Rochester is a great city with endless activities for kids and families. We were able to visit with some friends who we haven't seen in years.

FORTH OF JULY WEEKEND
We had a great 4th this year. Connecticut fireworks laws are very strict so we decided to take a drive up to New Hampshire to see if we could find any of the fireworks that Jason loved as a kid. We found most of them (nothing crazy) so we bought a car full of fireworks. It was a great time and we put of a great show for the neighborhood kids.

Checking out the fireworks

Luke wasn't quite strong enough to throw the poppers on the ground and actually make them pop so he loved stomping them.

Vivian got a new bone for the 4th which she loyally guarded until the 7th. She didn't move from this position unless someone would drag her inside.
Our completed new patio with furniture.

We bought a case of "Tanks" and box of "Ground Bloom Flowers" and a few other fund fireworks. Jason couldn't wait until dark to start setting them off.

Luke is still a little scared of fireworks.
